The book
Chapters are written to be read out of order. Every term in another language carries its transliteration on first use in each chapter, not only the first time it appears in the book.
The audio edition
The author reads the opening scene of every chapter, and the whole of Part IV, in her own voice. The expository sections are narrated synthetically, and that is disclosed here rather than buried.
Section 10 of every chapter — the record of harm — plays on the human track only. Where the human track is missing, that section does not play; it never falls back to a synthetic voice. Ambience is muted automatically for Section 10 and for the note on getting help, and the user cannot turn it back on there.
The twenty-seven portable practices
One per chapter. A practice separated from its caution is missing its safety mechanism, so each one names the chapter section it came from and links straight into it.
The dual timeline
Part III-A above the line, Part III-B below it — so a reader can see who could possibly have influenced whom, and how much convergence happened with no contact at all.

It answers from the manuscript and the grid only. It does not generate about the traditions. Where the content files do not hold the answer, it says so and points you at the chapter.
